First Glimpse Ltd. Is a new ultrasound scanning company founded in Nov 2005 by Sally Fogerty and Siobhan McInally, Senior sonographers at The Countess Of Chester NHS Trust hospital. The directors were later joined by Mr J McCormack in 2006.

Siobhan and Sally are fully qualified sonographers and have between them 17 years of ultrasound scanning experience, both within the NHS and private sector. They have extensive knowledge and experience of obstetric, 3d/4d and non obstetric medical ultrasound. Both directors fully believe that this new, incredible technology that gives parents-to- be an amazing insight into the world of their unborn baby, should be available to everyone at a time that suits them in a comfortable, non-clinical environment and for an affordable price. They believe that 4D ultrasound encourages early bonding between parents and their unborn baby.  We know that couples develop a strong emotional attachment to their baby as pregnancy progresses and a 4d ultrasound scan during this amazing time enhances that bond and also provides valuable reassurance.

Mr Jim McCormack is a fully qualified consultant obstetrician who has a special interest in pregnancy ultrasound scanning,  prenatal diagnosis and the management of at risk pregnancies. He is very experienced in fetal scanning, screening for abnormalities and all investigations undertaken during pregnancy. He provides antenatal care to support mothers individual plans for her pregnancy. He is also an NHS consultant with 15 years experience and is a member of the Royal College Obatetricians & Gynaecologists.

At First Glimpse we are aware that work and family commitments can often mean that making time for your 4d scan can be very  difficult, it is for this reason that we provide a variety of appointment times (including evenings and weekends).

All scans will be performed by fully qualified, highly experienced ultrasound practitioners.
